Swing Moves Classes
Scott & Lisa help dancers enhance their joy of dancing with 1- or 2-week swing dance classes on select Mondays in 2025.
Each class is designed to build upon skills and moves dancers gained previously. No partner is required. Everyone dances!

1-Nite Cost: $15 per person, per nite in advance; $20 at class
2-Nite Class (Swing Moves 1) Cost: $30 per person, in advance; $40 at class

Swing Moves 1 Module
Class Objectives: This is a fun Level 1 East Coast Swing dance class for beginner dancers to expand their swing dance skills. Class includes: leader’s turn, pass-by, arm slide, and adding flair move triple-steps to inside & outside turns.
1-Week Class, 1 Monday Nite:
March 17: Beyond Fundamentals
Prerequisite: For beginners who have taken a basic swing dance class, or those who are getting back into swing dancing and want a fresh start. Participants should know body frame, dance ready position, the 6-count step, and connecting with a partner.
No partner needed.
Swing Moves 2
Class Objectives: Jazz up your swing dancing with several cross-hand moves including free pass, pinwheel, waist slide and more!
1 Nite Module
April 7: Cross-Hand Moves
Class Prerequisites: Have taken a Swing 1 or beginner swing dance class, or understand the concepts of being dance-ready and having a partner connection, and are able to execute the basic step, inside and outside turns, triple steps, the leader’s turn, and getting from closed to open positions.
Swing Moves 2
Class Objectives: Learn many aspects of the cuddle and sweetheart positions plus rotational rock steps, throw-out, walks, and others!
1 Nite Module
April 21: Cuddle & Sweetheart Moves
Class Prerequisites: Have taken a Swing 1 or beginner swing dance class, or understand the concepts of being dance-ready and having a partner connection, and are able to execute the basic step, inside and outside turns, triple steps, the leader’s turn, and getting from closed to open positions.
Swing Moves: Levels 2-4
Class Objectives: Newer and experienced dancers will learn how to fit or tailor your East Coast swing dance moves to the music and enhance your dancing with artistic flair!
1 Nite Module
May 19: Musicality
Class Prerequisites: For experienced dancers. Participants must have taken at least some level-2 Swing Dance classes or higher, have strong fundamental skills, ability to connect while dancing, and can execute a variety of moves in open and closed positions, including leader and follower turns, cuddle variations, and cross hand moves.
Meet the Instructors
Scott and Lisa Chase have more than 40 years’ dancing experience between them and have taught various swing dance lessons for newcomers and experienced dancers, alike. As two of the lead Swing-In organizers, they enjoy sharing their love of the dance with others.
